Training
If you're feeling overwhelmed with a new puppy, frustrated with your dog, or are just looking for something fun to do together, training might be the solution. Basic training will help you understand how to successfully communicate with your dog. Teaching your dog how to thrive in your family pack will make life easier for everyone and it can prevent some major problems later in life.
At K9 Kingdom, we focus on positive reinforcement training which sets up a healthy learning environment. Rewarding dogs with food, verbal praise, and petting creates a powerful connection that can have amazing results.
The more involved YOU are in the training, the more successful it will be! However, we understand that you may not be able to dedicate as much time as you'd like to. We offer many different options for you to choose from: Group Classes, One-on-One sessions and Play 'n Train sessions.
Group Classes
Group Classes provide a wonderful opportunity for dogs to meet new people and other dogs, and it also teaches them how to behave in new situations. You’ll learn how to communicate effectively with your dog, and how to teach new behaviors that are more consistent with your house rules and expectations.
We offer classes at all levels and would be happy to guide you toward the right class. Puppy Kindergarten, Adolescent Manners, Intermediate Skills are all obedience classes that run in 6 week sessions on an ongoing basis. We also offer Rally Obedience, Canine Good Citizen, Therapy Dog International Training, and other special interest classes. Just call for details and suggestions for which class would be best.
One-on-One
One-on-One sessions offer dedicated attention to you and your dog so that you can troubleshoot any problems you have been experiencing. One-on-One sessions can be scheduled at your convenience and typically last one hour. We can dedicate this time to handle problem behaviors that are too challenging for the group class environment, or handle basic obedience issues – the time is yours to focus on whatever you need help with. In-home sessions are also available.
Play 'n Train
Play 'n Train is a great way to fit training in to your busy schedule. Simply drop your dog off for Doggie Daycare or Boarding, let us know how you'd like him to be better, and we can train during the day! You choose the behavior and we work on it while you're gone.
