Living Social Daycare Deal FAQs
- Q: When can I use my voucher?
A: As soon as you receive your voucher from Living Social, you'll be able to redeem it. - Q: Do I need to schedule in advance?
A: Yes. Existing daycare customers may use the normal reservation methods - by phone or online. All required vaccinations must be up to date. You must present the voucher at the time of check-out to redeem. - Q: What if it's my first visit to Daycare or to K9 Kingdom?
A: Simply visit our Get Started page to begin the process. You may submit the Pet Profile online at any time. Vaccinations may be faxed from your vet at any time. As a reminder, we must have proof of Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccines prior to your first visit. We also require proof of a negative fecal from within the past 6 months. Call to schedule the reservation. The very first visit MUST be a short visit! See next question. - Q: Why does my first visit have to be only 2 hours?
A: The first visit is suggested to be a 2 hour visit or less. We have a special rate for just 2 hours - $8 per dog. This is a very important rule we have in place for the safety and security of all the guests in our care. Picture yourself at a cocktail party in a strange place in a room filled with strangers. You're not really sure who to interact with, or where you fit in. Now imagine your ride home won't be coming to get you for 6 hours. Stressful, right? Doggie Daycare can be all fun and games, BUT only when it's done right! We take pride in our ability to understand the behavior and body language of the dogs in our care. When first-time visitors stay longer than a couple hours, they can become stressed, and that can lead to undesirable behavior. IF you simply must leave your dog more than two hours on the first day, we will be happy to provide a calm, quiet place to rest so he or she can have some fun in small doses. - Q: Do I have to use my voucher for the 2 hour visit?
A: Nope! This is completely up to you. Your voucher entitles you to three half-day visits to Doggie Daycare. A half-day is anything up to 6 hours. So if you want to use a half-day voucher for the 2 hour visit, go for it! If you prefer to pay the 2 hour rate of $8 and then use the voucher for the half-days next visit, that's great too. - Q: Can I use more than one voucher for my dog?
A: Unfortunately, no. The deal is limited to one per dog. Living Social simply doesn't have any way of knowing how many dogs you own or how many people may share your home, so of course they allow you to buy more than one deal per household. For example, Jack can use his voucher for Fido, and Jill can use her voucher for Fifi. But if Jack and Jill only have one dog, Spot, then Spot can only use the deal once. Jill would either give away the extra deal to a friend, sell it to someone else, or call Living Social to politely request a refund. - Q: What if I received a deal as a gift?
A: Congratulations! You're welcome to use this deal as described above - just call to schedule, fill out the pet profile, and send in the required paperwork from the vet. If, however you purchased your own deal AND received one as a gift, then you've got a decision to make... You can still only use one deal per dog. You may either give away one of the deals or contact Living Social to politely request a refund.
